About Steve
Prior to operating as a professional fishing guide in North Queensland, Steve spent the early part of his fishing charter career as a deckhand on professional Marlin fishing vessels in North Queensland. He crewed on many gamefishing vessels out of Cairns and Townsville guiding clients to excellent Black Marlin and Pacific Sailfish captures in both heavy and light tackle seasons. Steve was brought up in Townsville in a fishing orientated family spending every available minute fishing the local area around Townsville and also more remote locations. As a member of sport and gamefishing clubs around the north he fished and won numerous tournaments and held many past and present sport and gamefishing records.Steve is North Queensland's longest established full time sportfishing guide with extensive knowledge who has shown many international clients where to fish in wonderful North Queensland. His expertise is second to none as a fisherman and the return of business from his many satisfied clients is testament to his ability and dedication to the sport of fishing. When time is short and the area unfamiliar, Steve is the one they return to, to find the barramundi, fingermark, trevally or mangrove jack they are fishing for.
